About reddapi.dev Reddit Search API
› we build the lead engine for reddit: semantic search plus intent scoring, so you find the people describing your problem instead of the people using your keywords.
Somewhere on Reddit right now, someone is explaining in detail why the tool they pay for is failing them — and asking what to switch to. That is the highest-intent moment a buyer ever has, and it is public. The problem has never been access. It has been that keyword search buries those three posts under ten thousand support tickets, jokes, and unrelated mentions.
reddapi.dev Reddit Search API exists to close that gap. We index Reddit as meaning rather than as strings, score every match on how strong the buying signal actually is, and hand back a short list with the thread attached, so you can go read it yourself. The same engine powers the web app, the REST API, and an MCP server for AI agents.
We are a small, independent, self-funded team. We are not a Reddit product and are not affiliated with or endorsed by Reddit, Inc.
Semantic Lead Discovery
Describe the buyer you want in plain English. A 1024-dimension vector index finds posts and comments that match the meaning, including the ones that never use your keywords.
AI Intent Scoring
Every match gets a 0-100 buying-intent score plus a lead type, sentiment, and inferred industry — so the top of the list is the part worth reading.
Trend & Sentiment Tracking
Track how a topic moves across communities over time, and what the tone around it is. Useful for spotting a complaint pattern before it becomes a category.
REST API & MCP Server
Pull scored leads with a single POST, or plug the MCP server into Claude, Cursor, and other AI agents and let them query Reddit on your behalf.
Reddit is where people go to ask strangers what to buy, and to complain about what they already bought. Across tens of thousands of active communities, the discussion is pseudonymous and long-form — which is exactly why it is more candid, and more useful for finding buyers, than a feed attached to someone's real name.
Indexing
We continuously index publicly visible Reddit posts and comments across 50,000+ communities and embed them as 1024-dimension vectors.
Intent Analysis
Retrieved matches are classified by lead type and sentiment and scored 0-100 on buying-intent strength, with the industry inferred from context.
Delivery
Results come back through the web app, the REST API, or the MCP server — each one citing the thread it came from so every claim is traceable.
